A native of the Midwestern United States, Tara N. Hathcock spent 16 years in the healthcare field as a radiologic technologist, where the inklings of her first novel, Shattered Highways, was born.

Having since made the jump to academics, Tara now works as full-time staff for an area community college and teaches anatomy on the side while she continues to write stories that blend elements of science fiction with everyday life.
